Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, we will explore what has bought you to counselling, discuss what you would like to gain from therapy and make sure you have all the information you need before deciding whether were the right fit.
I believe that counselling begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, accepted and understood. This can help create the foundation for honest conversations and lasting change.
There is no expectation to talk about everything straight away, we will go at the pace that you’re comfortable with allowing the trust to develop naturally over time.
Through our work together, you may begin to recognise patterns, develop greater self-awareness, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences. As your confidence and self-understanding grow, you can begin to make choices that feel more authentic and aligned with who you are.
My role isn’t to walk in front of you or tell you which path to take, but to walk alongside you, supporting and encouraging you as you find your own way forward.
I believe that when people feel truly accepted and understood, they are better able to reconnect with their own strengths, resilience and capacity for change. Together, we can create a space where personal growth, lasting change and greater self awareness becomes possible.
